ADHD therapy for adults

For private patients and self-payers

For many people, an ADHD diagnosis in adulthood is a turning point. It brings relief, answers to long-standing questions, and a basis for targeted change.

At Psymondo, I work in an individual, multimodal way. I match the different therapeutic components to your life situation and your goals. Effective ADHD therapy usually rests on several pillars, which are combined in line with current scientific guidelines.

1. Psychoeducation (understanding and making sense of it)

Knowledge is the first step towards improvement. Together, we build an understanding of the neurological and psychological processes involved in ADHD.

  • Insight: How ADHD affects executive functions such as planning, impulse control and time management.
  • Self-compassion: Letting go of old guilt and understanding your own patterns of behavior together.

2. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

In psychotherapy, I support you in developing concrete strategies and working routines for everyday life.

  • Self-regulation & time management: Methods for dealing with procrastination, time blindness and sensory overload.
  • Emotion regulation: Dealing with emotional ups and downs, low frustration tolerance and rejection sensitivity.
  • Co-occurring conditions: Targeted work on accompanying issues such as anxiety, depression, chronic stress and burnout.

3. Medication – no medication management at Psymondo

Medication prescribed by your psychiatrist can support more stable neurological information processing. I do not prescribe or adjust medication at Psymondo.

  • Effect: Medication can improve concentration, reduce inner restlessness and make impulse control easier.
  • The whole picture: Sometimes medication provides the biological foundation that makes it possible to apply behavioral strategies in everyday life.

My goals for your therapy at Psymondo

Every person and every neurodivergent profile is unique. That is why goals differ and can be very varied. Possible areas include:

  • Everyday life & organization: Building sustainable routines, structuring tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Work & focus: Improving concentration, reducing distractibility and avoiding overload.
  • Emotions & stress: Regulating stress, strengthening self-esteem and handling criticism more calmly.
  • Relationships: Improving communication and relationship dynamics through conscious impulse control.
  • Potential & resources: Recognizing your strengths, using them deliberately and developing them in everyday life.

My therapeutic approach at Psymondo

I do not see ADHD purely as a disorder, but as a neurodivergent variation with its own strengths and challenges. The aim is not to change your personality. The aim is to give you tools that help you use your potential and make everyday life more relaxed.
