Psychotherapy for depression

For private patients and self-payers

Depression is more than temporary sadness or tiredness. It affects your thinking, your feelings, your body and how you cope with daily life. When joy fades, everyday tasks feel heavy, or a lasting sense of emptiness sets in, seeking professional support is an important step.

At Psymondo, I accompany you on your way out of depression. I offer individual, evidence-based support at your own pace.

The pillars of my depression treatment

My approach follows current clinical guidelines and rests on three pillars.

1. Psychoeducation & building trust

  • Understanding: How depressive phases develop and what keeps them going. Together, we sort out your symptoms so that the picture becomes clear.
  • Relief: Depression is a treatable condition, not a personal failure or a lack of willpower.

2. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

CBT is one of the most effective methods for depression. It works with specific patterns of thinking and behavior.

  • Activation & resources: Gradually building up positive, strengthening activities to counter withdrawal and lack of drive.
  • Cognitive restructuring: Recognizing and changing negative thought loops, self-doubt and the inner critic.
  • Emotion regulation & boundaries: Learning strategies for dealing with difficult feelings, overwhelm and stress.

3. Relapse prevention & self-care

The aim is to develop tools that remain helpful beyond therapy.

  • Early warning signs: Recognizing your personal triggers and the first signs of renewed strain.
  • Stabilization: Building routines and protective factors that support your mental health in the long term.

My goals for your therapy at Psymondo

Goals are individual. Here are some examples:

  • Everyday life & activity: Gradually returning to familiar routines, managing your daily structure and feeling less overwhelmed.
  • Mood & joy: Rediscovering enjoyment in activities, experiencing positive emotions and easing inner emptiness.
  • Thoughts & self-image: Reducing negative thought loops, strengthening self-worth and developing self-compassion.
  • Relationships: Overcoming social withdrawal, strengthening relationships and setting healthy boundaries in everyday life.
  • Potential & resources: Rediscovering and using your personal strengths and values to shape a meaningful life.
